An electrical arc flash blast is an explosive electrical plasma discharge that can cause extreme burning and neural damage to anyone caught in its radius.  Making sure to be careful and to always wear the appropriately-rated arc flash clothing is the first step toward a safer working environment.  In order to determine the properly rated PPE to wear, it is neccessary to calculate your facility's electrical system.
