Confined Space Signs

Confined Space Signs

Keep authorized personnel
working in confined spaces safe.

Confined spaces are the most dangerous environments for workers. By design, these spaces aren’t meant for continuous human occupancy, and consequently don’t contain proper ventilation, light, or ease of exit necessary to ensure safety. For this reason, signs posted by the confined space entry are paramount to a facility’s ability to keep its workers and visitors safe around these hazardous areas.

OSHA requires entrants must obtain a confined space permit for small spaces that contain a hazardous atmosphere, holds material that could engulf entrant, or has shape that could trap or asphyxiate. In these cases, a Confined Space Attendant (sometimes called "Hole Watch") will be stationed outside of the space in case of rescue. Regardless of whether or not your facility has permit required confined spaces, confined space signs help your workers stay protected.

Confined space signs come in a variety of sizes, designs, and messaging options, like "Do Not Enter." Signs are available with OSHA-compliant headings, signal words, and symbols, such as the danger symbol
