Product Spotlight Brady IDXPERT Label Printer - by Creative Safety Supply
Welcome to creative Safety supplies Product Spotlight, today we are going to be covering our IDXpert, and the first thing we are going to need to do to show you little bit about it, is to pull it out the box. So this is a brand new, unopened box, so you’ll see exactly what you get when you order the product from us. This is made by Brady, great industrial label printing company, and today, like I said they said we are working with the IDXpert and here's the box that it comes in.
The really nice thing about this is a comes with an industrial carrying case with it.
What you are going to get is your industrial carrying case and inside you are going to find your CD, as well as a number of quick guys and a catalog guide for all of your products and supplies that you are going to be using with it. Along with that, you are going to have a USB cable to connect your computer, a 25 foot sample roll and your label printer.
Now, I do have two different versions of the IDXpert, one comes in more of a keyboard format and this one comes in your standard number letter format here as you see, and so to get started we just need to get this prepared and ready by removing some these items and we need to flip it over and install some batteries. So we’ll get started on that right here.
The IDXpert takes six double A batteries and they are pretty easy to install, you just have to flip it over and put them in here in the right order. Then we’ll put the cover back on.
Now just to show you real quick, when you are putting these in you do need to remove this little bit of adhesive label.
Pulling this lever down if its up. Inserting this cartridge and putting it back into place. At this point we can turn the power on, this is your power button right up here, and if you are up close, you be able to see a general menu pop up to get you started.
We are going to go ahead start with a test label. Now I entered my name on the screen here, so we can just go ahead and start out a test print. We are working with a 1.5 inches wide and it’s a 25 foot sample roll that was provided to us by Brady.
If I go ahead and hit print, after I simply just use the keyboard to type in my name and we should quickly have labeled coming out the side here.
Now to who you how this going to work, once your labels printed alongside here, there is a real quick and easy cut mechanism that you have to pull to actually cut your label, and it’s right here, you can just pull down and your label is cut. Just to give you an idea of what your label is going to look like, you should get a crisp clean label of whatever you had set up on the screen, it will come out looking just like that.
Like I said the Brady IDXpert is real simple and easy to use and there so many different supplies you can use in here from continuous supply like you saw right here to die cut labels. You can pretty much find it in their price list and print industrial quality labels very quickly and easy and you can do it anywhere in your plant. With a simple printer and supplies you are off and running, you have your industrial label, your pipe marking and pretty much anything else from labeling of 5S to Kaisen, anything in the Lean realm, you can easily quickly print labels.
Alright, that's it for the IDXpert, thanks for joining us and until our next product spotlight have a great day.

This is a great little printer. I did find that I needed to use bigger printer for some other labels. However, I do recommend this printer for medium to small size jobs.. This thing is a work horse.

The printer works pretty good. A lot of built in symbols, which is nice. It's nice to have a portable printer that I can carry with me.

I bought the IDXPERT when my Handimark broke. The new machine feels nice and sturdy, and the battery life is really good. The QWERTY keyboard option is MUCH easier to use than the old calculator style on the Handimark. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it only prints up to 1.5" labels. My old Handimark could print up to 2" wide.
