Great tool, easy to use and helped me be creative with my project. Excellent service from CSS too!
Great product, easy to use, great results. I'm in my 70s and I highly recommend. All those foam chest deliveries cut up with ease. Guys if you've ever carved a turkey or ham or roast - this is easier. Knife just glides through! Ladies if you ever used a beauty tool or waxed your legs you can handle this. One star off for no cleaning directions -my advice clean while tool is warm and clean as you go, using wooden spatula. Put on some music and cut away!!
Slices foam like butter. I recommend it.
I was a little skeptical about buying this hot knife when the next step "up" was $299, but for $40, this fit my budget better. It works great! At heat level 4, it sliced through 4 in. thick insulation styrofoam (the cheap white kind) with no problem (Heat dial ranges from 1-5). You have to keep your finger on the button trigger as you cut and after a while it made my hand cramp up, but that wasn't a big deal. I'm making large foam scenery so I had quite a lot of cutting to do. Really worth the money and I highly recommend this hot knife!
