All of my works are carried in glove box where there is a very harsh environments in terms of chemicals, radiological, and low oxygen. As result, we had a problem with labeling. Labelling containers and samples with sharpies or label makers purchased from a retail store can last 3-4 months and we have to relabel again and again. When I was searching better labeling system, I found the printer (Label Maker) from the Creative Safety Supply and I purchased immediately. The printer is shipped with inks and paper plus software with thousands of templates. Thirty minutes after I opened the box, I started printing hundreds self-adhesive labels. I relabeled every containers, bags, and items in 2017. Today is 2021, those labels from 2017 still look like a brand new, and there is no degradation and fainting. Their printer costs more than a printer purchased from a retail stores, but we have saved many labor hours and money that the printer recovers its cost within a week. Their printers are worthy for every dollar you pay. Creative Label Supply has many different kinds of printer to fit any budget. Whether you work in a harsh or regular environment, their label makers (printer) help to improve your operation. Creative Safety Supply also has extraordinary technical and customer support.
Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to help me out.
The Labeltac 4 Pro is a great machine. Exactly what I was looking for to keep my company GHS compliant.
I was going to buy a smaller label maker, but my husband had used this kind when he worked at 3M and insisted on buying it for me. It's easy to run, so versatile, and exactly what I needed to label my items in storage! I know that I will use it for so many things all over the house. And I'll make labels for other people too!
Bought this printer for 5S labeling in our new building. Received it at about 11 a.m. Set it up and used it by 11:30. Prints very clearly and my labels were exactly the size I asked for...We have spent a lot of money on labeling in the past, I anticipate cost savings with this printer.
It is very simple to install and use. Very happy with this purchase.
I needed to make a TON of arc flash labels for several plants for my company, so I figured it would be easier and cheaper to buy the whole printer rather than farm it out to a printing company. The printers always gouged us for the short runs we've given 'em in the past, and if they mess up - you could get dinged by lawsuit if something goes down. Found this printer on Creative Safety website, and they hooked us up with the LabelTac 4. We make other stuff with it, too, but it more than paid for itself for the arc flash project. Make sure to get the die-cut label tape. I think it makes professional-looking arc flash labels like the pros sell. Kind of wished we had bought the PRO version. It's got more power, apparently.
This printer is just what I have needed. I have labeled just about anything that can be labeled at our factory. It is so easy to use I can design my labels in Word and it prints and cuts them to the perfect size. I have had so much fun using this machine I started designing bumper stickers for our company. Since we didn't have much of a budget to get started they let us do a rent to own program to help keep the costs down. The guys that work at Creative Safety Supply were very helpful with any tricky templates also. I am a very happy customer.
I was in the market for something better than some of the amateur labeling machines out there. I've burned up two other brands of label makers, and I realized I use these enough to warrant a higher-end type. I really like how I can just design my labels in Photoshop or Word. It came out as planned, and it prints wider than the low-priced machines do. I made a couple restroom signs to test it out, and they looked really good. Plus, it doesn't burn out or even slow down!
How It Works
Thermal transfer printers work by using heat to transfer solid ink from the ribbon onto the label supply. As the ribbon passes through the print head and platen, the ink is bonded to the label supply (or other material) with heat and pressure, creating a permanent print.
The use of heat to activate pigment is what makes thermal transfer printers unique from other printers. Since there are not many moving parts, thermal transfer printers are easier to maintain and tend to last longer. The labels they create are better able to withstand heat, weather, chemicals, water, and other harsh conditions.
Try LabelTac® in your facility! See just how top-notch these labels are up close and personal. We're happy to send you a variety of label samples to test out in your facility.
