Lock out signs protect workers at their most vulnerable. Some of the most common catastrophic on-site injuries occur when workers are making repairs or performing maintenance on energized equipment and someone unknowingly powers up equipment. This error can be deadly; it is the responsibility of the employer to make sure safety precautions are in place to decrease the chances of this kind of accident.
Lockout tagout signs remind workers to use the lockout/tagout system when working on equipment, and reminds others to be conscious of whether or not a machine is undergoing repairs before turning it on.
