Fiber Optic Signs

Fiber Optic Signs

Prevent negligent digging
around fiber optic cables.

Fiber optic cables are network cables that hold strands of glass fibers and are intended for telecommunications and long-distance networking. They transmit information using light-based (optical) technology. Although these fibers don’t contain electricity, they may still be a hazard as the glass fiber can penetrate skin, and looking directly into the light without proper protection may damage the eye.

Make sure workers in your facility are cautioned of these dangers by implementing fiber optic signs. These signs are available in A-frames to set up temporarily or they can be mounted more permanently to the wall with an easy-to-use yet durable adhesive. They provide the essential information workers need to stay safe as they handle or install fiber optic cables.
